i’m back from a much-needed vacation, and ready to get back to work. i didn’t realize how much i needed to take a step back and recover from the craziness of last fall. it took me two entire weeks without so much as opening a laptop (except to suck photos off my camera!) to feel like i am able to make progress again. i’m usually not big on long vacations — i get bored too easily and want to get back to work — but this trip with my sister kept us moving from place to place every couple of days, so there was always something new to see or do, like the moeraki boulders on the west coast of the south island:
i’m currently working on analyzing pilot interviews and event logs (still too early to report findings), and finalizing study plans for my dissertation research so i can submit my IRB in the next couple of weeks.
